Email Diplomacy

Rules

  1. The game will be played on a tri-weekly basis (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). One turn equals 6 months of game time.

  2. All moves must be submitted by 8:00 PM on the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the relevant turn. Any player who does not submit their moves by this time will be assumed to be holding with all their units for that particular turn.

  3. The results will be calculated on receipt of all the moves and a textual list of piece locations will be posted to allow players to calculate retreats.

  4. If any player is forced to retreat, they will be required to be given by 8:00 PM the following day after a turn. If none is submitted their pieces will be retreated randomly.*

  5. A final list of piece locations will be posted on the web (map).

  6. At the end of the Fall turn, the areas a player owns will be recalculated and each country will be informed as to how many pieces they must add or delete. The players will be required to email a list of changes to the Game Master during the Builds Turn (between the Fall and Spring turns).

  7. Diplomacy will be conducted, in general, by email. However, other forms of communication are not forbidden.

  8. The rules of diplomacy will be applied by me from the official rules that come with the game. There is a copy of the rules available here (note: These rules were downloaded from an external source and I am not sure how accurate to my official version they are).

* Game Master's discretion

Please note these rules may be changed as the game proceeds. The time span for one turn will probably be updated once we have a good idea as to how well the game is working.
